Congressman McCarthy suggests improved race relations premised on Lincoln assassination

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy tells reporters at a weekly news conference that one of the biggest losses for the nation was the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, if he was not assassinated it would be easier to think of would America would have look like with malice towards none, the first 23 black Republicans elected to Congress but unfortunately the Democrat controlled South decided that was wrong so Jim Crow laws had come about had Lincoln not been assassinated keeping people from being able to register to vote, perpetuating the challenge of the nation that the Lincoln wrote about believing the country was conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all were equal and to strive for poor more perfect union.
