In the middle of the street, crowds of people gather to watch Wehrmacht / German Army soldiers riding on horseback. Followed by German Army soldiers marching during the re-occupation of the Rheinland. Later, German dictator Adolf Hitler is shown at a rally delivering a speech. Germany, 1936. On 7 March 1936 German troops re-occupied the Rhineland, a de-militarised zone according to the Treaty of Versailles. This action was directly against the terms which Germany had accepted after the First World War.Adolf Hitler was an Austrian-born German politician who was the dictator of Nazi Germany from 1933 until his suicide in 1945. He rose to power as the leader of the Nazi Party, becoming the chancellor in 1933 and then taking the title of Führer und Reichskanzler in 1934.
