Solomon Islanders In The Philippines Faces Deportation
This footage was filmed and produced 15 September 2020More than two hundred Solomon Islands students studying in the Philippines are listed for deportation.Local government was alerted on the issues amidst its COVID-Repatriation flights in the coming days.Six of the students have been tested positive of coronavirus and currently in isolation in the Philippines.Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare assured the students that his government is doing all it could do to ensure their safety and repatriation.He added, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade is facilitating and negotiating for smooth repatriation those listed for deportation.
